This is actually really old (made somewhere arround may 2009 ), but I didnt want to post it until I had atleast one more painting
Yeah I failed on this, but I still wanted to submit it

very nice, you should practice more like these birds. Actually, to be honest, I kind of like your old pixel art better than the newer stuff too. Better for your art to try and do stuff from reality than to go off into trying anime style, at least until you can actually draw stuff that looks like the real thing. (the 4 bird paintings you did look like the real thing, just painted!) I'm not sure if I am explaining this right. Not saying you can't experiment with styles, but just that more practice of drawing from life or reference is going to help you more than practicing making a certain style.
